1. What is Senior Parents Weekend?
Senior Parents Weekend is a chance for parents to celebrate Georgetown with their seniors. There will be a host of events throughout the weekend that allow parents to meet Georgetown faculty, staff, their seniors’ friends and their seniors’ friends’ parents. 2. What is Senior Auction?
Senior Auction is the Senior Class’ signature fundraising event. All the proceeds go to fund events such as community service projects, scholarships, Winterfest, and Senior Week. At the auction, you be able to bid on items such as vacation packages, graduation dinners, dinners with professors, and maybe even a puppy!
3. Where should I stay for Senior Parents Weekend?
There are numerous accomodations in and around the Georgetown area. For more detailed suggestions including hotels that will be offering specials, check back here closer to the event.
4. What is the dress for the weekend?
Washington, DC in February tends to be pretty chilly and snowy. Though the weather varies from year to year, the Senior Class Committee recommends that you bring warm, winter apparel and comfortable, water resistant shoes or boots. Additionally, check www.weather.com a few days before leaving for DC to see the weather forecast for the weekend. Casual attire can be worn to all the events throughout the weekend except for Senior Auction.
5. What is the dress for Senior Auction?
Senior Auction is black tie optional. Men often dress in suits or tuxedos and ladies will frequently wear cocktail dresses or ball gowns.
