Events

Events planned by the Senior Class Committee include Dis-Orientation, Dis-Orientation 2.0, Senior Week, and many other various events planned throughout the year.

Senior Week 2018 Policies:

  1. Registration will take place on Friday, May 11th between 11 am and 4 pm in Leavey Program Room.  Please bring your Go Card and a government issued ID to receive a bracelet. If you are unable to register at these times, registration will also be available for the first hour of all on-campus events.

  1. You must have a bracelet to attend all Senior Week events, and to secure the integrity of the week, these bracelets are ONLY issued to seniors.  Senior Week events are for seniors only and not open to underclassmen, family members, or friends. Even if you are only considering attending a few events, you still must register and receive a bracelet.  Bracelets must be worn all week and cannot be removed or shared. DPS and event staff will strictly enforce these rules, so please comply.

  1. You must have completed all work sanction hours and be in good standing with the Office of Student Conduct and the Office of Off Campus Student Life before you can participate in Senior Week activities.  No exceptions will be made. If you have outstanding violations through the Office of Student Conduct for which work sanction hours were assigned, you must resolve those before you will be issued a senior week bracelet.  Please resolve such issues through the respective offices, particularly the Office of Student Conduct, located on the 5th floor of the Leavey Center, during business hours M-F, 9am – 5pm. Questions can be emailed to studentconduct@georgetown.edu.

  1.  Please make sure you bring one form of government ID to ALL off campus events, including any bar nights, President’s Picnic and Senior Ball.  Since each of these events occurs off campus, they will not recognize the Senior Week bracelet as a proper verification of age.

  1. Please take note of which events have alcohol served at them, and which do not.  As a warning, you may not bring alcohol to any event. In the event that you do, your bracelet will be cut off and you will not be able to participate in subsequent events.

  1.  If you would like a vegetarian option at Senior Picnic on Wednesday, May 16, please note that in the registration form.

  1. Senior Week events take place in a variety of venues which are accessible to people using wheelchairs or other mobility-related devices.  Several events occur off-campus and may involve transportation to and from the event. Requests for accommodations related to a disability should be emailed to sccevents@georgetown.edu by Friday, May 4.  A good faith effort will be made to accommodate requests made after May 4.

  1. Senior Convocation will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 2:00 PM in McDonough Arena.   We strongly encourage you to attend.  Convocation is our unified commencement with music, special presentations by President DeGioia, your fellow Georgetown students and an alumni speaker.

  1. Senior Ball Tickets are available for purchase online. Ticket sales are limited to four tickets (one student, three additional family members) from April 11 through April 22. On April 25, ticket sales will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis without a limit until capacity is reached.

Please find below the schedule and registration link for Senior Week 2018.  Over the past four years we have all balanced work and play. With work out of the way, we hope that you rediscover your experiences and friendships one last time before leaving the Hilltop!
