Meet the Board

Elle is a senior in the college, majoring in Government. On campus, she interns at Georgetown’s student credit union, but she is looking forward to the opportunity to become more involved in campus activities and student engagement through the Senior Class Committee. Elle is known for breaking the Georgetown bubble by power walking to D.C.’s best museums and searching for the best restaurants (and sweets!) in the city! Seniors, get ready to break that bubble with Elle and the SCC this year! #thebucketlost

Senior Auction Chair – Sophia Ronga

Sophia hails from Shelton, Connecticut but now calls Hoboken, New Jersey home.  As a government major and economics minor, she has enjoyed the opportunity to apply her quantitative skills to problem solving. Specifically, Sophia enjoys using data to determine courses of action for both private businesses and campaigns for public office. Sophia has also particularly valued her two stints living abroad – the first teaching in rural Hungary and the second as a student at the Georgetown Villa in Florence, Italy – as they took her out of her comfort zone. In her free time, she enjoys trying new recipes with her roommates, doing Pilates, and listening to NPR podcasts.

Finance Chair – John Connors

John is a senior in the McDonough School of Business studying Finance and Marketing. He is from Thornton, Pennsylvania, which is about 45 minutes away from Philadelphia. On campus, he is also the Treasurer of the MSB Academic Council and has been a four-year member as a Representative. For the Spring Semester of 2017, John was studying abroad at the Quinn School of Business at University College Dublin in Ireland. In his free time, John enjoys reading, writing, playing the piano, and cooking.

Hilltop Engagement Chair – Angie Molina

Angie is a senior in the College studying Economics; she is originally from New Jersey. This past summer she interned at a tax firm in D.C. and studied for the LSAT, as she hopes to attend law-school in the near future. Her interests range from running long distances, to trying new cuisines, and reading Spanish novels. She is excited to work with the senior class committee (SCC), as she previously served as co-chair of Hoya Saxa Weekend, a weekend for first-generation students and minorities to visit Georgetown. She currently serves as Hilltop Engagement Chair of the SCC, as she is passionate about Georgetown’s culture and traditions, and excited to share that with her senior class!

Senior Events Chair – Lauren Semerjian

Lauren is a Senior is the MSB studying Marketing and Management with a Spanish minor. She is from Devon, Pennsylvania (a small suburb outside Philadelphia).  Italy and France are her favorite countries that she has visited, and Australia and South Africa are still on her bucket list!  Her favorite type of food is anything you would serve at a BBQ, but Mediterranean food comes in a close second!  She has two very large dogs that are one of the best parts about going home!  She is super excited about the Senior Class events SCC has planned, and can’t wait for all the memories to come from this year!
