Senior Week

 

Due to the success of Senior Auction 2017, Senior Week General Admission is completely FREE of charge. You still MUST register online here in advance to participate. Each general admission includes events throughout the week and a Senior Week T-shirt. There is also an option to purchase a Class of 2017 Beer Stein on the eventbrite link. This payment will need to be completed by the 4/24 in order to pick up one during in-person registration on 5/12. Please note that you must be 21 or older in order to consume alcohol at any event. Online pre-registration will close on Wednesday, May 10th at 11:59 pm.

You MUST pick up your wristband and t-shirt on Friday, May 12th between 11am and 5pm in the Leavey Program Room. In person registration is mandatory in order to participate in any and all events. You may NOT pick up a wristband or t-shirt for anyone else. If you are unable to register at these times, registration will also be available for the first hour of all on-campus events. Special accommodation requests must be made prior to the start of Senior Week by emailing sccevents@georgetown.edu. Please also note that the schedule is tentative and subject to be changed by the Senior Class Committee at any time. Below you will find the rules to participate in Senior Week. You will be required to acknowledge these rules when you register and when you pick up your wristband during in-person registration.

    • Friday, May 12:
      • Registration
        • 11am-5pm in Leavey Program Room
        • Two forms of ID required (government issued ID and GOCard).
      • Senior Send Off BBQ with the Senior Class Fund
        • 6:30pm – 8:30pm on the Car Barn Patio
        • Kick-off the first event of Senior Week featuring Red Hot & Blue BBQ, wine, and premium beers! All Class of 2017 Fund donors should make sure to pick-up their fast pass wristbands at the Class Fund’s table at Senior Week registration to skip the line for the Senior Send Off.

  • Saturday, May 13:
    • 12pm – 1:30pm if you lived in New South, VCW, VCE, or are a transfer
    • 1:30pm – 3pm if you lived in Harbin or Darnall
    • Freshman Floor Meet-up on Harbin Patio with GUGS burgers *the first 200 seniors with wristbands to arrive for their respective time slot will receive a free burger
    • Nationals Game vs. Phillies *SOLD OUT*
      • 7:05pm at Nationals Park
      • Tickets are $20 (includes $8 credit that can be used toward any concession stands or apparel)
    • Bar night
      • 10pm at Town Tavern (2323 18th Street NW)
      • First 100 seniors to arrive and show their Senior Week wristband will receive a free drink ticket
      • Check in at the hostess desk with your Senior Week wristband and they will place another wristband on your so you can take advantage of the specials!
      • Specials (from 10pm to close): $3 domestic bottles, $5 mixed rail drinks, $5 Hoya Shooters
    • Sunday, May 14:
      • 9pm at Orange Anchor (3050 K Street)
      • First 150 seniors with wristbands to arrive will receive a free drink ticket
      • Specials until close for seniors with wristbands include: $4 corona light on draft, $5 rail drinks, $6 pinot grigio/pinot noir, $8 orange crush
      • Kickball tournament
        • 1pm – 5pm (location TBA)

      • Bar night (We will have the place to ourselves so come and bring all your friends for a nice night out on the waterfront!!)
    • Monday, May 15:
      • 1pm – 5pm on the Leavey Center Esplanade
      • Come enjoy the weather for a class-wide darty with unlimited kegs!
      • My Jesuit Education
        • 11am in ICC Auditorium
        • Hear Father Carnes and other Jesuits lead a conversation on the Jesuit education at Georgetown.
      • Alumni Admissions Program (AAP) Introduction & Reception
        • 12 noon in White Gravenor 201A
        • Learn how you can become an alumni interviewer for Georgetown next year through the AAP.
        • A reception will follow the presentation.
      • Darty (Day Party, duh) – Gluten free option available. Please select on the eventbrite only if necessary.
    • Tuesday, May 16:
      • 1pm – 3pm in HFSC Social Room (until food runs out)

        • 6pm in Dahlgren Chapel
        • Reception to follow with light refreshments and finger foods
      • Keg Party
        • 8:30pm – 11:30pm on the Mid-campus terrace (lawn located between MSB and Regents)
        • Come out and enjoy our FINAL evening kegger!

    • Wednesday, May 17:
      • Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, MD
          • President’s Picnic (IMPT INFO) – MUST have Senior Week wristband to attend
          • Please meet in the Southwest Quad Courtyard around by 11am. Buses start to load at 11:15am.
          • 11:30am – Buses depart for Smokey Glen Farm
          • 5:00pm – Buses leave Smokey Glen Farm to return to Georgetown
          • Note: you must bring government-issued ID to this event in order to consume alcohol (they will be placing another wristband on you for the day)
          • Buses will transport you to Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, MD for a fun-filled day. It is strongly encouraged to take the buses there and back.
          • From 12pm – 2pm there will be a raw bar, snacks, beer, wine, and other refreshments.
          • Lunch will begin at 2pm and dessert will be served at 3:30pm.
          • Activities range from hayrides to field games. You can bring blankets, footballs, baseball mitts, etc. No coolers (outside food/beverage) or pets allowed.
        • Last Tombs Senior Night (ever)
          • 10pm at The Tombs
